We sell, design and construct Hydroponics fodder system for cattle, pig and poultry farms . Fodders  are fresh animal feed planted without the soil but with the use of water medium and nutrients.

Specific advantages of hydroponic fodder to livestock

 Advantages to dairy cattle

  • Reduced somatic cell count
  • Reduced occurrence of acidosis and mastitis
  • Lowered Ph in rumen
  • Increased digestibility from 30% to 95%
  • Earlier Breeding and higher conception rates this ensures one calving per year
  • Faster weight gain and easier weaning
  • Increased longevity in dairy cows
  • Higher milk production by 10% and butter fat content to 14% from 8%
  • Improved health

Advantages to beef cattle

  • Dairy weigh increase of 1kg as opposed to 300g
  • Lean meat because fodder tends to reduce bad cholesterol
  • Improved general health of cow fodder – contains all the nutrients the animals requires

Advantages to pigs

  • Earlier breeding
  • Improved gut function
  • Improved behavior and temperament
  • Faster weight gain: takes 6 months to attain 60kg as opposed to 7 months to attain same weight
  • Easier weaning
  • Higher quality meat with better texture reduces the fat coat from 14mm to 7mm

Advantages to sheep and goat

  • Faster weight gain of 0.083kg as opposed to 0.053kg for grain fed
  • Better quality meat – very lean meat
  • High-grade fiber
  • Improved milk production
  • Quality of mi8lk improved more fat
  • Improved hoof health
  • Improved fertility

Advantages to poultry

  • Better quality eggs with deeper yolk color
  • Enhanced egg taste
  • Reduced sticky droppings
  • Higher quality meat with better texture
  • Improved health and energy levels
  • Reduction of mortality
  • Cannibalism eliminated
  • Mycotoxin contamination is reduced

Increased efficiencyGrowing fodder in a hydroponic system enables a farmer to produce on average 60 times as much output relative to growing in soil. Growing vegetables in a hydroponic system enables a farmer to produce on average 4.7 times as much output relative to growing in soil.
No electricity
Fodder production using hydroponics system uses no electricity and can save the farmer the exorbitant costs of fuel and PHCN.
Saves waterSaves 100,000 liters of water per month relative to growing fodder in soil, equivalent to savings of  N229,342 per month . Saves 9,000 liters of water per month relative to growing vegetables in soil, equivalent to savings of N 17793.72  per month.
Improved animal digestibilityThe increased digestibility and lower cost of hydroponic fodder compared to regular feed means farmers can save additional costs, which for one pig over its lifetime constitutes savings of N5280, and for one cow per day will be N310 plus the increased milk production of 10%.
